Bookcrossing in Edinburgh and Newcastle

Up north visiting friends and family, this involved a lot of Olympic watching, G+Ts, too much food and reading on long train and bus journeys.

Took quite a few books with me, including Greyfriars Bobby (Penguin Popular Classics), couldn't resist reading this in its hometown. A couple of books from Soffitta1's 2nd U.K. Bookbox (Asia Theme) : for matrimonial purposes , and Geisha . I visited the OBCZ at Always Sunday cafe, High St (Royal Mile), which was leaping because of the Festival, but managed to sneak in and grab a table and have a lovely bagel. Picked up The Spice Islands Voyage: in search of Wallace as it looked interesting.

Then headed down to York, just to stay overnight at the University. Had lots of time to work and read in a couple of their cafes. Forgot how cheap cafes on campus were, nice coffee, tea and cakes! Left three books, with two being caught before I got home to release them properly: Lady Oracle (diff. cover) and The Secret River . Still keeping fingers crossed for Buddha Da to be picked up.
