The Lake of Dead Languages

Have just posted on The Lake of Dead Languages - a book ring. I enjoy taking part in rings and rays as you not only get to read good books, but are able to read the comments of others. A substitute for a book group maybe, but at least the comments are always there for you to go back to.

Central European Trips

Have been on the road again, meeting up with friends. This of course means taking books with to read, swap and gas about. Hope to have some more catches.

After hearing recommendations of Vonnegut's books from colleagues, I decided to sign up for this ring, Jailbird .
A really good book, just need to get hold of some more of his.

I managed to take part in last year's secret santa. Always good fun. I went on ebay and managed to pick up two books for AliceF: Jarhead: A Soldier's Story of Modern War and Oblivion . (sneakily read Jarhead on the way past, very good!)

I received a lovely parcel of goodies (choccies, labels, etc.) from bigcurlyloz with A Spot of Bother , a book I have been wanting to read for ages.
