300th Book

Woohoo, registered (and released) my 300th book.
The Stars' Tennis Balls

Rays

A ray, which I had been waiting for, arrived last week: Finding George Orwell in Burma . It was worth the wait, not only a very interesting book, but also a very relevant book in these times. I have sent it on to the States.

I then decided to set off my own ring, of a book which I had been sent by another bookcrosser, Amor, Curiosidad, Prozac y Dudas . It is currently on its way to Argentina.

More books and a catch in Prague

As ever, bought a nice stack of books back to Prague, a few of those that I keep putting off and some new ones.

Brought these ones with me:
Getting Rid of Matthew
The Savage Garden
Ein Haus in Irland. (diff. cover)
The Unbearable Lightness of Being
The Good Women of China: Hidden Voices
The Jewel in the Crown

Accidently fell over these in a few books in a couple of the English language bookshops.
Black Mischief (Penguin Modern Classics)
About A Boy

Those I have already released:
The Stars' Tennis Balls
A House for Mr. Biswas

And a catch! The Hiding Place I don't often get catches here, and this has a good entry.

Back in Prague

Had a tight turn around, before coming back to work. Not sure what was more shocking, working again after a month off, or the cold weather!
As ever, have a big stack of books with, which will be released around the city.

Bookcrossing in South Africa

Happily, I saw there was an OBCZ in Capetown: The Coffee Bean, Main Road, Rondebosch. I managed to visit it once, though wasn't able to meet up with anyone. This was not down to lack of friendly offers from the local bookcrossers, but due to my tight schedule. I hope to be back next year, when I will definitely factor in some time! Not only did I have the stack I had brought with, but also bought a few books and was given some by a fellow traveller.

Left books in a few spots around Cape Town:
Ice Cafe in Kalk Bay - excellent selection of ice cream.
Boulders Hotel at Boulders Beach (where my sister had her wedding reception)
Sinnful Ice Cream Shop - oops a theme is starting!
Rhodes Memorial Cafe
Newlands Cricket Ground
Cape Town Backpackers

Had a couple of catches from the OBCZ, here's hoping for some more.
