1001 Update April 2009

Now up to 25 1001 books read so far this year, just under half way to my 2009 target as set by myself in katrinat's 1001 challenge.

I took part in
missgyder's VBB, sending and receiving a few books:
I requested The Satanic Verses from the organiser as I had always been interested in reading it.
Brighton Rock & Snow were sent to me by tabby-cat-owner.
The Yellow Wallpaper and Other Stories from Vekiki

The Go-between (Penguin Modern Classics) requested by perryfran
On Beauty requested by Caroley . Caroley sent me The Moonstone (Penguin Popular Classics), which I passed on to kingfan30

Passed on quite a few books. As they were starting to stack up at home, I decided to be proactive by looking at people's wishlists and also advertising them in a forum post. Also, when I request books, I make sure that I attach my list of availables, which has met with some requests being made. I just want others to enjoy the books and also to see their views on them.

Passed on:
Their Eyes Were Watching God sent to Supertalya, enjoy!
Possessing the Secret of Joy sent to ArwenG (as I noticed she had this on her wishlist).
The 13 Clocks & Amsterdamsent to Danielle23

Still to read:
The Child in Time recently sent to me by bestfriends in exchange for Intimacy (1001 book)
Just finishing up with
Aesop's Fables, sent to me by rapturina along with Gulliver's Travels (Wordsworth Classics)(which I finished recently).

read, but still in my possession:
Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Classics)
World's End
