10. The Girl on the Landing

7 1001 books :)
Another good category, having just finished The Girl, it is freshest in my head, so I would say it was one of the best, strange but good.  I also enjoyed reading Tailors, especially as it was good to read a mystery from the 1001 list.  If I had to pick the worst book, it would be Memoirs, just because it was a bit of a ramble at times.

1010 Challenge - 3/4 Done!

3/4 down, and a good few more books read from my Mount TBR.  I have now finished 2 categories, and am near to finishing another 2.  Top books of this third quarter would have to include Baking Cakes in Kigali, a lighter but thought-provoking read; The Singapore Grip, another excellent book from J.G. Farrell;  and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao  , the story of a Dominican Republic boy in the U.S.

The Fifth Child This book has already been journalled by 17 readers, I signed up for it a long time ago when I was in Prague. I am a big lessing fan and am trying to find copies of more of her books, especially from the Children of Violence series. I have only read these two so far:
A Proper Marriage (Children of Violence) (different cover)
Martha Quest (Children of Violence S.)
